Elden Ring (2022) — Story, World Setting & Character Breakdown
Developer: FromSoftware • Publisher: Bandai Namco Entertainment • Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S
World Setting & Story Premise
The Lands Between, a vast fantasy continent centered around the luminous golden Erdtree, fractured into ruinous fiefdoms ruled by the demigod offspring of Queen Marika the Eternal after the catastrophic war known as The Shattering.
The source of the Erdtree’s Grace and cosmic order—the Elden Ring—has been broken. Queen Marika’s demigod children claimed the Great Runes, but their mad taint triggered a devastating civil war with no victor. As a Tarnished, an exile dead yet revived by Grace, you return to cross the fog, defeat the demigods, and claim the title of Elden Lord.
