Augmented human C4-621 is smuggled onto Rubicon 3 by handler Walter to acquire a deceased hound’s mercenary license (Raven). Caught between Arquebus, Balam, and the Rubicon Liberation Front, 621 fights for control of Coral, an enigmatic substance that functions as both energy source and sentient biological consciousness.
